The Indonesian woman accusing of assassinating North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s half-brother Kim Jong-nam has been released. Malaysian authorities dropped all charges against Siti Aisyah, who has been accused of smearing toxic nerve gas on Kim Jong-nam’s face in Kuala Lumpur in 2017, on Mar. 11. No official reason was given for her release. Aisyah has claimed that she was duped by North Korean authorities, who allegedly told her she was partaking in a prank for a reality TV program. An instance of such a high-profile suspect being released without any trial is extremely rare. (AFP/Yonhap News)
