On Mar. 27, US Ambassador to South Korea said the US will reduce the scale of its military exercises on the Korean Peninsula to facilitate an environment for diplomatic solutions, but said the window of opportunity (for North Korea-US negotiations) would not be open forever. Harris made these remarks during a keynote speech held at the Seoul Press Center hosted by alumni from Seoul National University’s political science and foreign relations department. Harris added that he hopes for diplomatic efforts to succeed but warned that he can’t rely on hope alone. (photo pool)
