[Photo] Human chain formed along DMZ to commemorate Panmunjom Declaration

To celebrate the one year anniversary of the Panmunjom Declaration on Apr. 27, people in support of inter-Korean peace and reconciliation formed a “human chain” along the South Korean side of the DMZ that stretched from Paju, Gyeonggi Province, to Cheorwon, Gangwon Province. Participants initiated the chain at 2:27 pm and read aloud parts of the Panmunjom Declaration to express their desire for peace. They also fixed flowers and Korean Peninsula flags into the barbed-wire fence they faced. (Park Jong-shik, staff photographer)
