[Photo] Kaesong Complex business owners submit ninth request to visit their facilities

On Apr. 30, owners of businesses within the Kaesong Industrial Complex, which has been shut down since February 2016, submitted their ninth request for permission to visit their facilities within the complex to the Ministry of Unification. On the same day, a coalition of Kaesong business owners gathered in front of the Central Government Complex in Seoul demanding the government grant them permission to visit and inspect their facilities. The coalition named May 9 as the date they wish to visit the complex. The coalition submitted eight requests prior to this one, but all of them were rejected due to the US’ refusal to grant exemptions for sanctions against North Korea.
