On July 25, North Korea launched two projectiles believed to be short-range missiles toward the East Sea from Wonsan, Kangwon Province. The missiles were similar to the North Korea Iskanders, which has a range of 430km, launched on May 4 and 9. The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) confirmed the launches as having occurred on the morning of July 25 at 5:34 and 5:57 am, and that the projectiles traveled respectively a distance of 430km and 690km. The JCS added that South Korean and US analysts were currently working out additional details and that South Korean forces were closely observing the North for additional launches.
