[Photo] US, N. Korean negotiators do not hold separate talks at MNC

The 2019 Moscow Nonproliferation Conference (MNC) took place from Nov. 7 to 9. In attendance were US Special Envoy for North Korea Mark Lambert and Jo Chol-su, director-general of the North Korean Foreign Ministry’s North American department, but the two did not hold separate talks. South Korean Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Lee Do-hoon was also present, but did not hold a separate meeting with Jo outside a brief greeting. Lambert met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov to discuss US-Russia cooperation on North Korea’s denuclearization.
